2021 Fohn Festival
After many discussions, the Fohn Festival is officially canceled for 2021. Last year the committee of volunteers and likeminded businesses and individuals came together during the pandemic and put on a drive-in movie at the last minute. Unfortunately, things are different this year and while in 2020 we were trying to figure out how to safely have a community event with only 100 people outside, alas our outdoor gatherings have now been restricted to 5 at this time. We wish everyone a happy Canada Day and hope that we can all gather again safely in 2021.
The Fohn Festival is a not for profit society made up entirely of volunteers. The festival has always been a free all access event that encourages people to celebrate the rich multiculturalism that Hinton has to offer through music, dance, performance, craft and food. For longer than a decade the festival has been celebrating multiculturalism in Hinton and Canada. Strong supporters over the years have been the Town of Hinton, The Alberta Foundation of the Arts, Canadian Heritage, and the local business community. If you would like to be involved with planning of the 2022 festival please reach out to us through our Facebook page.
